Eddie Howe Confirms No Offers for Newcastle's Star Striker Alexander Isak
Eddie Howe confirms Newcastle United has not received any offers for star striker Alexander Isak, amidst transfer speculation.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that the club has not yet received any bids for their top scorer, Alexander Isak. The Swedish striker, who has been instrumental in Newcastle's recent successes, is reportedly exploring his options for a potential summer move.
Isak did not travel with the team for their pre-season tour of Asia, with the club initially citing a "minor thigh injury" as the reason. However, sources suggest that Liverpool remains interested in the 25-year-old, despite their recent acquisition of Hugo Ekitike for an initial £69m.
Howe emphasized that Isak is still under contract with Newcastle and that the club retains some control over his future. "He is still our player. He's contracted to us," Howe stated during a news conference in Seoul. "We, to a degree, control what is next for him. I would love to believe all possibilities are still available to us."
Despite the speculation, Howe expressed his desire for Isak to remain with the Magpies. "My wish is that he stays, but that's not in my full control. We have not received a formal offer for Alex, from any club," he added.
Isak joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022 in a deal worth about £60m and still has three years left on his contract. He has scored 62 goals in 109 appearances for the Magpies, including 27 in all competitions last season.
As the transfer window progresses, the future of Alexander Isak remains a topic of intense interest and speculation among football fans and pundits alike.
