Josh Allen Clinches NFL MVP 2024: A Season of Excellence and Leadership
Josh Allen secures his first NFL MVP title, showcasing unparalleled skill and leadership with the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 season.

Josh Allen, the dynamic quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, has been crowned the NFL's Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2024 season. This marks the first time Allen has received this prestigious award, edging out last year's winner, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
A Season of Record-Breaking Performances
Allen's 2024 season was nothing short of spectacular. He recorded 28 touchdown passes and 12 rushing touchdowns, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to achieve multiple rushing and passing touchdowns in back-to-back games. Additionally, Allen made history by scoring a passing, rushing, and receiving touchdown in the same game.
Leadership and Maturity
One of the most significant improvements in Allen's game this season has been his growth as a leader. He registered career-low figures for interceptions, sacks, and fumbles, demonstrating better decision-making and ball protection. Under his leadership, the Bills achieved a 13-4 record, securing a spot in the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year.
Playoff Heartbreak
Despite Allen's heroics, the Bills' postseason journey was once again halted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. This marked the fourth time in five years that the Chiefs ended the Bills' playoff run. The Chiefs went on to reach Super Bowl 59, held in New Orleans, where the NFL's annual awards ceremony took place.
MVP Voting and Recognition
Allen earned 27 first-place votes out of a possible 50, accumulating a total of 383 points in the MVP voting. Jackson, his closest competitor, received 23 first-place votes and 362 points. This was the first time since 1987 that the first-team All-Pro quarterback was not also named MVP.
Allen's Humble Acceptance
"I feel like my teammates wanted this more for me than I did," Allen said during his acceptance speech. "I'm very honored." He also praised Jackson, stating, "Lamar was very deserving of this award as well. I've got nothing but love and respect for him and his game."
