Tom Brady's Legacy Immortalized: Patriots Unveil 12ft Bronze Statue
The New England Patriots honor NFL legend Tom Brady with a 12ft bronze statue, celebrating his six Super Bowl titles and lasting legacy.

The New England Patriots have unveiled a 12ft bronze statue of NFL legend Tom Brady, commemorating his extraordinary career. The statue, located outside the Patriots' stadium in Massachusetts, depicts Brady with one arm raised in triumph, symbolizing his six Super Bowl victories with the team. Standing on a six-sided base, the entire structure reaches 17ft, representing the 17 AFC East division titles Brady secured as a starting quarterback.
Brady, who retired in February 2023, expressed mixed emotions during the ceremony. "This is quite overwhelming to me," he said. "I feel extremely honoured, deeply grateful, and, if I'm being honest, kind of old. I never dreamed I'd be standing here two and a half decades later made of bronze and frozen in time."
Over his 23-season career, including three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady started 333 regular season matches and 48 playoff games, more than any other quarterback in NFL history. He began as the 199th pick in the 2000 draft and initially retired in 2022 before returning for one final season with the Buccaneers.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft praised Brady's journey, stating, "Tom Brady's journey proves that it's not where you start, but where you finish that counts. Tom wasn't just the face of our franchise, he was the heartbeat. It's hard to overstate what Tom accomplished. He didn't just rewrite the record books, he practically authored a new volume."
The statue was revealed before the Patriots' opening pre-season game, a 48-18 win over the Washington Commanders. Since retiring, Brady has acquired a 5% stake in the Las Vegas Raiders and become a minority owner of English football club Birmingham City.
