In an exhilarating display of endurance and strategy, Germany's Liane Lippert claimed victory in the sixth stage of the Women's Giro d'Italia 2025. The 145km race to Terre Roveresche saw Lippert and Pauliena Rooijakkers of Fenix-Deceuninck break away in the final 10km, with Lippert ultimately out-sprinting Rooijakkers to the finish line.
Lippert, 27, expressed her elation after the race, stating, 'Super happy! I had a super good day today. The team was on fire and everyone really believed in me.' This win marks her first stage victory since last year's Giro, highlighting her resilience and determination.
Meanwhile, Marlen Reusser of Switzerland maintained her overall lead in the general classification, finishing safely in the peloton. Reusser continues to hold a 16-second advantage over defending champion Elisa Longo Borghini of Italy.
