Marine Nationale got the better of Fact To File to secure a captivating victory in the Champion Chase at the Punchestown Festival. Despite Fact To File being the favorite, it struggled with the early pace. El Fabiolo provided a significant challenge but fell at the penultimate fence. Sean Flanagan rode Marine Nationale to a seven-length win over Captain Guinness under Rachael Blackmore. Trainer Willie Mullins had a successful day with shock victories in other Grade One contests.
