Steve Holland Sacked by Yokohama F. Marinos: A Football Shock

Former England assistant Steve Holland sacked by Japanese club after poor run.

Former England assistant manager Steve Holland has faced a dismissal from the Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos just four months into his tenure as their boss. Holland managed to win only one out of 11 league games, leaving the club in the 19th position in the 20-team J-League. The club has announced the decision and appointed head coach Patrick Kisnorbo as the interim manager for now. Holland, who spent eight years as an assistant to Gareth Southgate, saw his dismissal prior to crucial matches. The Marinos, part of the City Football Group, haven't won the title since 2022.
