Sale Sharks have signed young talent Nathan Jibulu from Harlequins, marking a significant addition to their squad for the upcoming season.

Sale Sharks to Sign Harlequins Hooker Nathan Jibulu
Sale Sharks have officially announced the signing of Harlequins' promising hooker, Nathan Jibulu, for the next season. The 22-year-old, who has already made seven appearances in the Premiership this season, is also a key member of the England Under-20 squad. Jibulu has committed to a long-term deal with Sale, expressing his lifelong ambition to play for the Sharks.
Nathan Jibulu's Journey and Ambitions
Nathan Jibulu's passion for Sale Sharks dates back to his younger years. "When I was younger, whenever someone asked me, 'what team would you want to play for?' I'd always say Sale," Jibulu shared. He is particularly drawn to the team's playing style and the club's overall mentality. "I love how the team plays and the mentality around the club. I like the toughness and the attitude that we're going to run over you physically, and it's going to be relentless for 80 minutes," he added.
Jibulu thrives in physically demanding games, which aligns perfectly with Sale Sharks' approach. "I love those games where you go toe-to-toe physically, so all of that attracted me straight away," he said. Conversations with current players further cemented his decision to join the club.
Sale Sharks' Perspective on the Acquisition
Sale director of rugby, Alex Sanderson, is optimistic about Jibulu's potential. "Nathan is a young lad but he's incredibly mature and he's got the game and the physical attributes to match," Sanderson remarked. He is confident that Jibulu has a bright future ahead, potentially representing England at the senior level. "I've got no doubt he'll play for England in the future and we're really excited to bring him to the club," Sanderson added.
This signing marks a strategic move for Sale Sharks as they continue to strengthen their squad for upcoming competitions. With Nathan Jibulu on board, the team is poised for a formidable season ahead.
