Newcastle Falcons have secured the services of Scotland lock Jamie Hodgson on a one-year contract, marking a significant addition to their squad. Hodgson, who has earned five caps for Scotland, the latest in 2022, was a free agent after parting ways with Edinburgh Rugby at the conclusion of the previous season.

The 27-year-old second-rower, standing at an impressive 6ft 6in, had a stint on loan with Bristol Bears during the last campaign. However, his tenure was cut short by a tricep injury after just four games. Despite this setback, Hodgson remains optimistic about his new chapter with Newcastle.
