Kellen Moore Takes Helm as New Orleans Saints Head Coach Post Super Bowl Victory
Kellen Moore transitions from offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles to head coach of the New Orleans Saints, aiming to revitalize the team's performance.

Kellen Moore, renowned for his recent role as offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles and instrumental in their Super Bowl triumph, has been officially named the new head coach of the New Orleans Saints. This appointment follows a challenging season for the Saints, which saw the departure of former coach Dennis Allen after a series of defeats.
Moore, at 36 years old, brings a fresh perspective and a robust coaching philosophy to the Saints. His coaching journey has been nothing short of dynamic, with stints at the Dallas Cowboys (2018-2022) and Los Angeles Chargers (2023) before his pivotal year with the Eagles. His adeptness at strategy, especially in offensive plays, has been widely recognized and is expected to bring significant improvements to the Saints' gameplay.
"I’m thrilled to join the New Orleans Saints and immensely grateful for the confidence that Mrs. Gayle Benson and the entire Saints management have in me," Moore expressed. "I am eager to tackle the challenges ahead, and I am passionate about getting started with this team. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles for a remarkable 2024 season. I’m excited to embark on this new journey."
Mickey Loomis, the Saints' general manager, lauded Moore’s leadership and vision, stating, "Kellen is an exceptional communicator with the capability to lead effectively. He has a clear and compelling vision for the future of our football team."
With the Saints having missed the playoffs for the last four consecutive seasons, the expectation is high for Moore to steer the team back to its former glory. The last significant achievement for the Saints was reaching the NFC Conference final after their Super Bowl win in 2010.
Moore’s appointment is seen as a pivotal move to re-establish a winning culture within the Saints, much to the excitement of the fans and the expectation of recapturing their storied success in the league.
