Unrivaled's 3-on-3 Rosters Ranked for Inaugural Season

Kevin Pelton ranks the rosters of the six teams in Unrivaled's inaugural 3-on-3 season, projecting their offensive and defensive ratings and win percentages.

Lunar Owls BC

The Lunar Owls have a stacked roster at the defensive end, led by 2024 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Napheesa Collier. They project to have the best defense in the league, but their offense is expected to be below average.

Phantom BC

The Phantom are all offense, with the top-rated offense in the league. They have a strong core of players, including point guard Sabrina Ionescu and center Brittney Griner. Their defense is expected to be the second-worst in the league.

Vinyl BC

The Vinyl have a balanced roster, with three of the WNBA's top 16 scorers in 2024. They will need to integrate their scorers together to be successful. Their defense is expected to be above average.

Mist BC

The Mist have a strong roster, led by 2023 MVP Breanna Stewart. They will need to shoot better than last season to be successful. Their defense is expected to be strong, with Stewart and Jewell Loyd as perimeter stoppers.

Laces BC

The Laces have a well-constructed roster, with enviable shooting around Alyssa Thomas. They will need to address their lack of rim protection to be successful. Their defense is expected to be above average.

Rose BC

The Rose roster will be an interesting test case for the value of efficiency in the 3-on-3 game. They have some elite players, but none scored with above-average efficiency during the 2024 WNBA campaign. Their defense is expected to be below average.
