Dominic Calvert-Lewin Joins Leeds United: A New Chapter for the Promising Striker
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, former Everton striker, is set to join Leeds United on a free transfer, marking a new chapter in his career.

Former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to undergo a medical at Leeds United after agreeing to join the newly promoted Premier League side on a free transfer. The 28-year-old ended his nine-year stint at Everton in June, describing the decision to leave as "incredibly difficult."
Calvert-Lewin, who scored 71 goals in 273 games for Everton, joined the club from Sheffield United for £1.5 million in 2016. His best season came in 2020-21, where he netted 16 goals in 33 Premier League games and was part of the England squad that reached the final of the European Championship.
However, the following seasons were marred by injuries and inconsistent form, leading to limited appearances. Since 2021, he has not added to his 11 England caps and 4 international goals.
Leeds United, under manager Daniel Farke, is looking to bolster their attacking options. The club has already secured Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha, while Patrick Bamford has been informed he is not part of Farke's plans this season. Additionally, Mateo Joseph has joined Mallorca on loan.
Calvert-Lewin's move to Leeds United is seen as a fresh start for the striker, who aims to rediscover his form and contribute significantly to the team's Premier League campaign.
