Nikita Parris Signs Two-Year Deal with London City Lionesses: A New Chapter in Women's Football
England forward Nikita Parris joins London City Lionesses on a two-year deal, bringing her championship experience to the newly promoted WSL team.

England forward Nikita Parris has officially joined the London City Lionesses on a free transfer from Brighton, signing a two-year contract. This move marks a significant step for both Parris and the newly promoted Women's Super League (WSL) team.
Parris, who was part of the England squad that clinched the European Championship in 2022, brings a wealth of experience to the Lionesses. Last season, she played a pivotal role in helping Brighton achieve their best-ever WSL finish, securing fifth place in the league.
"It's a very ambitious project," Parris commented on her new venture. "I'm really looking forward to meeting all the girls and getting started."
With a career that includes stints at Manchester United, Arsenal, and Lyon, Parris has consistently proven her mettle on the field. Her time at Lyon was particularly noteworthy, as she lifted the Champions League trophy with the French giants.
Ronald Thompson, the London City Lionesses' director of football, expressed his enthusiasm about the signing: "She brings top-level experience and a winning mentality, and she'll be a brilliant role model for the younger players in our group."
The London club is set to kick off their WSL campaign against Arsenal on 6 September, and fans are eagerly anticipating the impact Parris will have on the team's performance this season.
