In a thrilling display of endurance and strategy, Great Britain's Beth Potter secured a bronze medal at the World Triathlon Championship Series held in Hamburg, Germany. This event marks a significant milestone in the series, being the fourth race and the halfway point of the competition.
Potter, a celebrated Olympian with two bronze medals from the 2024 Paris Olympics, completed the course in 56 minutes and 32 seconds, just seven seconds behind the race winner, Leonie Periault of France. Periault’s compatriot, Cassandre Beaugrand, the reigning Olympic and world champion, finished closely ahead of Potter, taking the silver medal.
Adding to the British success, Kate Waugh finished in a commendable sixth position, showcasing the depth of talent in the British triathlon team.
