Australia managed to carve out an 82-run lead with six wickets remaining in their second innings after a riveting day two of the first Test against West Indies in Bridgetown. The tourists, who had only managed 180 runs on Wednesday, initially trailed by 10 runs after West Indies posted 190 in their first innings.
Australia faced early setbacks in their second innings, stumbling to 65-4 before Travis Head and Beau Webster steadied the innings. Head remained not out at 13 off 37 balls, while Webster scored a brisk 19 off 24 deliveries. Their partnership was crucial in navigating through eight challenging overs, bringing Australia to 92-4 by stumps.
Earlier in the day, West Indies resumed their first innings at 57-4 and quickly lost Brandon King, bowled by Josh Hazlewood for 26.
