Glenn Maxwell's explosive 48-ball century led Washington Freedom to a crushing 113-run win over Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket.

In a spectacular display of power hitting, Glenn Maxwell delivered a stunning 48-ball century to propel Washington Freedom to a commanding 113-run victory over Los Angeles Knight Riders in the Major League Cricket. The Australian all-rounder walked in with the defending champions struggling at 68-4 in the eighth over and initially took a cautious approach, scoring just 11 runs off his first 15 balls.
However, Maxwell shifted gears in the 14th over, smashing three sixes off Tanveer Sangha to accelerate his innings. He reached his half-century in just 29 balls, with a shot that was parried over the long-on boundary for six. Entering the final over on 87, Maxwell faced Jason Holder and clinched his eighth T20 century with a single off the third legitimate ball. He finished in style, hitting a six off the final delivery to remain unbeaten on 106 off 49 balls, guiding Freedom to a formidable total of 208-5.
The Knight Riders' chase got off to a disastrous start as their top three batsmen—Alex Hales, Sunil Narine, and Unmukt Chand—were all dismissed without scoring, leaving them reeling at 10-3 in the fourth over. The collapse continued, and by the eighth over, they were reduced to 26-5. Despite a valiant 32 from Saif Badar and 23 from Holder, the Knight Riders were bowled out for a paltry 85 in just 16.3 overs.
With this victory, Washington Freedom moved to third place in the standings with two wins from three games, while the Knight Riders remained winless, languishing at the bottom of the table with three consecutive losses.
