Jack Wilshere Excluded from Norwich City Managerial Race Despite Interim Role
Jack Wilshere will not be considered for the permanent manager role at Norwich City, despite his interim leadership during the final matches of the season.

Wilshere's Interim Stint
Jack Wilshere, the former Arsenal and England midfielder, concluded the season as the interim manager for Norwich City after the dismissal of Johannes Hoff Thorup on April 22. Wilshere, aged 33, took charge of the final two Championship matches, overseeing a goalless draw against Middlesbrough and a victory over Cardiff City on the last day of the season.
Club's Decision
Despite his efforts, Norwich City's sporting director, Ben Knapper, confirmed that Wilshere is not in contention for the permanent managerial position. Knapper emphasized that the club's search for a new manager will be externally focused. "Jack is a fantastic person, and we share a significant history together," Knapper stated, recalling their time at Arsenal. "He's a great coach and will undoubtedly become a fantastic head coach, but not at Norwich City at this moment."
Future Prospects
Wilshere's future in coaching remains promising, and his experience at Norwich City adds to his growing resume. The club continues its search for a new leader to steer the team in the upcoming season, aiming for stability and success in the Championship.
