Essec Bolsters T20 Blast Campaign with Mohammad Amir's Return
Essex re-signs Pakistan paceman Mohammad Amir for the 2024 T20 Blast, enhancing their squad with his extensive international experience.

Essex County Cricket Club has made a significant move by re-signing Pakistan's renowned pace bowler, Mohammad Amir, for the upcoming T20 Blast season. Amir, aged 33, has an impressive track record with 371 wickets in 322 T20 matches globally, and significant contributions to Pakistan's cricket team across all formats.
Chris Silverwood, Essex's director of cricket, expressed his enthusiasm about Amir's return, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Mohammad back to Essex. His wealth of experience and skill set will be invaluable as we aim to excel in this season's T20 Blast."
Amir, who recently concluded his stint with Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is set to be available for the entire group stage of the T20 Blast. Additionally, there are provisions for extending his contract into the knockout stages, depending on the team's progression.
