Clyde Football Club has officially announced that they will continue to host their home games at New Douglas Park in Hamilton for the foreseeable future. This decision comes after a period of uncertainty regarding the club's tenancy at the stadium, which is managed by the former owners of Hamilton Academical. Both clubs currently pay rent to utilize the facility.

Last month, concerns were raised about the stability of a five-year agreement signed in 2022, prompting the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) to extend registration details for the upcoming season. However, Clyde has now reassured fans and stakeholders of their commitment to New Douglas Park.

In a club statement, Clyde expressed gratitude towards those who assisted during this challenging period: "This has been a challenging time for the club and for the supporters. Having navigated it successfully, we must extend our thanks to those clubs and individuals who worked with us on alternative proposals. Their co-operation and professionalism has been greatly appreciated."

Meanwhile, Hamilton Academical is gearing up for a crucial hearing on May 1st regarding a 15-point deduction imposed for multiple rule breaches, including providing incorrect information about stadium ownership. This penalty has led to their relegation from the Championship, with the season concluding on May 2nd in a match against leaders Falkirk.
