NBA Playoffs Drama: Antetokounmpo Clashes with Haliburton's Father as Pacers Advance
The Indiana Pacers clinch a dramatic victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, sparking a heated exchange between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Tyrese Haliburton's father.

The Indiana Pacers secured a thrilling 119-118 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, advancing to the NBA play-off semi-finals. The game's climax came with Tyrese Haliburton's decisive lay-up in the final seconds, capping a 4-1 series win for the Pacers.
However, the post-game celebrations were marred by a controversial incident involving Bucks' star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Haliburton's father. Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA MVP, expressed his dismay over what he described as a 'disrespectful' act by Haliburton's father, who taunted him with a towel featuring his son's face.
'I believe in being humble in victory,' Antetokounmpo stated. 'His dad coming on the floor and showing me a towel with his [son's] face on it, [saying] 'This is what we do. We do this.' I feel like that's very, very disrespectful.'
Haliburton, unaware of his father's actions during the game, later apologized to Antetokounmpo, emphasizing the importance of keeping competition on the court.
'I had no idea it happened until I got back to the locker room and they showed me the video of my pops,' Haliburton said. 'We had a little talk about it. I don't agree with what transpired there. Basketball is basketball. Let's keep it on the court.'
The loss ended the Bucks' championship aspirations, while the Pacers are set to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the next round. In other NBA action, the Boston Celtics dominated the Orlando Magic, and the Denver Nuggets took a commanding lead over the LA Clippers.
