This highly anticipated lightweight contest will take place in Poirier's hometown of New Orleans and is for the ceremonial BMF title. Poirier has two prior wins over Holloway, in 2012 and 2019. Despite never claiming a full UFC title, he holds a significant fan following and an impressive record with 23 stoppages from 30 wins. Holloway, 33, won the belt at UFC 300 in 2024 with a memorable last-minute knockout.
