In a dramatic turn of events at the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Quetta Gladiators secured a narrow five-run victory over Karachi Kings, thanks to a stunning collapse by the latter. Chasing a modest target of 143, Karachi Kings seemed well on course with opener Tim Seifert smashing 47 and James Vince contributing 30. However, the game took a sharp turn post Seifert's dismissal in the 12th over, leading to a catastrophic loss of six wickets for just 22 runs in 5.4 overs.
Despite a valiant effort by Hasan Ali, who scored an unbeaten 24 from 13 balls, Karachi fell short, ending their innings at 137 for 8. Quetta's bowlers, Mohammad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, and Khurram Shahzad, each claimed two wickets, playing pivotal roles in this thrilling encounter.
Earlier, Quetta Gladiators posted a total of 142 all out, with Faheem Ashraf top-scoring at 43. Contributions from Kusal Mendis (36) and Hasan Nawaz (35) were crucial in setting a competitive score.
