Surrey's Dominance: Clark's Five-Wicket Haul Against Somerset
Surrey's bowling attack shines as Clark takes five wickets. Somerset fights back on a challenging day.

Surrey 3pts, Somerset 1pt Somerset put up a fight but Surrey's high-class seam attack dominated on the first day at the Kia Oval. Tom Lammonby made 76 but Somerset fell to 187-7 before a tail-end fightback. Captain Lewis Gregory led the charge but was eventually caught. The wicket at the Oval had good grass cover and Surrey's bowling was consistent. Surrey finally broke through after lunch and Clark was exceptional.
Somerset's top order has struggled recently. Against Sussex and Hampshire, they were in trouble early. Lammonby and Vaughan did well to survive and build a partnership. Atkinson and Worrall produced Test-quality spells. Clark's return after lunch was crucial and he ended the stand between Gregory and Davey.
It was an absorbing day of cricket with Surrey emerging strong.
