Fred Tomlinson's Inspiring London Marathon Journey: Aiming for Better in 2025

Fred Tomlinson, who finished last in 2024, hopes for a better result in 2025's London Marathon while fundraising.

Fred Tomlinson has made headlines for his consecutive participation in the London Marathon. In 2024, he crossed the line in 13 hours and 23 minutes, finishing after midnight. Despite facing challenges such as knee replacement surgery and limited training, the 76-year-old from Doncaster is set to take on his 33rd consecutive marathon on 27 April to raise money for the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity in memory of his daughter Claire.

Mr Tomlinson's main goal remains fundraising for the organization and he hopes to finish this year's event in under eight hours. His dedication has been praised, and over the years, he has run in various fancy dress outfits, cheered on by his wife.

The Rainbow Trust supports families with children having life-threatening or terminal illnesses, and Mr Tomlinson's efforts are truly remarkable.
