A Miraculous Victory: Heavenly Heather's Stunning Triumph in Horse Racing
Heavenly Heather, a 200-1 outsider, achieved a major shock win in horse racing at Newcastle.

The filly, trained by Tracey Waggott near Durham, had been beaten in all her previous five starts. But on this special day, ridden by Amie Waugh, she landed the Fillies and Mares Championships Handicap on All Weather Finals Day. Waggott said they always knew she was good but it was about getting her fit. Chris Rain, a part-owner, said the horse was named by his mother before she died. This win makes Heavenly Heather one of the longest-priced winners in British Flat racing history.
