Eoin Morgan's Upcoming Leadership Role with the MCC
Former England captain Eoin Morgan set to join MCC's main committee.

Former England white-ball captain Eoin Morgan is on track to become the new chair of cricket in the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). The 38-year-old is likely to take over from Claire Taylor in September. His role is to be confirmed at the MCC's annual general meeting on 7 May and needs members' approval. The MCC, based at Lord's, is responsible for cricket's laws and spirit. Morgan's franchise cricket experience and knowledge are seen as assets. He captained England to World Cup glory in 2019 and is an honorary life member of the MCC. Among the issues he might be consulted on is the future of the Eton versus Harrow match. Morgan is one of four recommendations for key positions at the AGM.
