Danielle Collins, the world number 15, rescues and adopts an injured dog named 'Crash' after her Miami Open journey ends.

Danielle Collins, the world number 15, may have seen her Miami Open hopes dashed, but she leaves Florida with a new companion for life. After a tough match against Aryna Sabalenka, Collins found an injured dog on her way out of the Hard Rock Stadium.
The Rescue
On Saturday night, Collins discovered the dog, later named Crash, curled up in the middle of the road after being hit by a car. Without hesitation, she rushed him to a nearby veterinary hospital. The former world number seven took to Instagram to share the harrowing experience and ask fans for their prayers.
Crash's Recovery
After five days on oxygen support, Crash is now recovering well. Collins updated her followers, stating, "His breathing is back to normal, his wounds are healing, and he's definitely enjoying all the love he's receiving. He's curious, affectionate and grateful for a second chance at life."
A New Chapter
Collins has officially adopted Crash and plans to enroll him in school once he fully recovers. Reflecting on the incident, she expressed her gratitude, "It was so incredibly painful to witness a dog in so much pain after being hit by a car and left in the middle of the road with so many people driving by his curled up body. I'm just grateful I was able to be there and get him the care he needed."
