Wolves' Matheus Cunha Faces Extended Ban and £50,000 Fine After FA Cup Incident
Wolverhampton Wanderers' forward Matheus Cunha receives an extended ban and a hefty fine following an on-field altercation in the FA Cup.

Matheus Cunha, the forward for Wolverhampton Wanderers, has been handed an additional one-game ban and a £50,000 fine due to his actions during the FA Cup match against Bournemouth. The incident occurred in the final moments of extra time when Cunha was sent off after a confrontation with Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez.
The Brazilian striker has admitted to charges of improper conduct after he lashed out at Kerkez three times, necessitating an escort off the field. This red card for violent conduct extends his suspension to a total of four games, forcing him to miss the upcoming Premier League match against Ipswich Town on April 5th.
Cunha will be eligible to play again on April 13th when Wolves face Tottenham Hotspur. This is not the first time Cunha has faced disciplinary action; he was previously banned for two games in January following an altercation with a member of Ipswich's security team.
Cunha's absence is a significant blow to Wolves, who are striving to maintain their position in the Premier League standings. His ability to contribute offensively, evidenced by his 15 goals this season, will be sorely missed during his suspension.
