Lydia Ko, the world number three, showcased her exceptional golfing skills to win the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore. The New Zealand golfer began the final round with a slim lead over England's Charley Hull. However, Ko solidified her position with three consecutive birdies starting from the sixth hole, culminating in a final round score of 69. This impressive play brought her total to an outstanding 13-under par, securing her title four strokes clear of her nearest competitors, Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand and Ayaka Furue from Japan.
Charley Hull, who had been contending with illness during the tournament, saw her hopes diminish as she carded a two-over-par 74 in the final round, finishing with a seven-under total which tied her for third place.

Reflecting on her win, Ko expressed her joy and gratitude, stating, "I just wanted to focus on my game as it was a pretty tight leaderboard. I didn't know if I would win. But to win here in Singapore and get all the love, not only this year but for the years that I've come, it means a lot."
The tournament, held at the Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, attracted top golfers from around the world, all vying for the prestigious title. Ko's performance was a testament to her skill, determination, and resilience, qualities that continue to make her a dominant figure in the world of golf.
