Fisilau, who has already represented England's 'A' side and trained with the senior squad, joined Exeter in November 2022 alongside Immanuel Feyi-Waboso after the collapse of Wasps. Since then, he has proven himself as Exeter's first-choice number eight, scoring an impressive 10 tries in 50 league and cup matches.
Baxter on Fisilau's Potential:
"He's one of the bright, young, talented forwards in the country and has done exceptionally well since he's come here," Baxter told BBC Sport. "We promoted him into the first team pretty quickly, that was always going to be the plan with him, and he's just excelled for a young man."
Fisilau's rapid rise in the rugby world is a testament to his hard work and skill. At just 21, he has already made significant strides in his career, including playing for England's 'A' side and participating in Elite Player Squad (EPS) camps.
Looking Ahead:
"He's a fantastic young talent, someone we're planning on building a successful squad around and a good picture [of] where we're going to be heading in the future," Baxter added.
With Fisilau's new contract, Exeter Chiefs are poised to build a strong team around this young star, ensuring a bright future for the club in the competitive world of rugby union.
