The 25-year-old all-rounder will join the English county side for five Championship matches, beginning with their clash against Kent on 18 April and concluding with the Northamptonshire fixture in late May.

Green boasts an impressive Test career, having represented Australia in 28 matches with a batting average of 36.23 and 35 wickets at an average of 35.31. His standout performance includes a career-best score of 174 not out against New Zealand in 2023, solidifying his reputation as one of the most promising talents in international cricket.

Preparing for the World Test Championship

Green's stint with Gloucestershire serves as crucial preparation for Australia's World Test Championship Final against South Africa, scheduled to commence on 11 June at Lord's. Having recovered from a lower back injury that sidelined him since September, Green is expected to regain his form as a key batter before joining the squad.
