Richard Palframan Extends Commitment to Newcastle Falcons Through 2027
Newcastle Falcons' prop Richard Palframan has signed a two-year extension, committing to the club until 2027, enhancing the team's front-row strength.

Newcastle Falcons have secured the services of prop Richard Palframan until at least 2027, following the agreement of a new two-year deal. The 31-year-old, who joined from Worcester Warriors in 2021, has become a pivotal figure in the Falcons' lineup, making 51 appearances and bringing valuable experience from his stints with London Irish and London Scottish.
Steve Diamond, Director of Rugby, expressed his enthusiasm about the renewal: 'Palf has been instrumental for us on the tight-head side. Extending his contract was a priority. He’s not just a fantastic player but also a great character who contributes significantly both on and off the field. I'm thrilled he will continue to be part of our journey as we strive to elevate the club's status in the coming years.'
Palframan shared his sentiments about the renewal: 'It's a privilege to be part of Newcastle Falcons. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what I love, playing alongside an incredible group of players and working with a top-notch staff. Despite the challenges we've faced, I truly believe we're now in a much better position and moving in the right direction.'
This renewal follows closely on the heels of fellow front-rower Murray McCallum securing a new two-year deal, signaling Newcastle’s commitment to strengthening their core squad. These strategic moves underscore the Falcons' ambition to cement their standing in the Premiership and beyond.
