Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé have been nominated for Emmys for their electrifying NFL halftime performances, showcasing their global influence and artistic excellence.

Months after their unforgettable performances on the NFL's grandest stage, Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé continue to make headlines with their Emmy nominations for the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards. Lamar's Super Bowl LIX Apple Music halftime show, which captivated a record-breaking audience of 133.5 million viewers, has been nominated for four prestigious awards, including Outstanding Variety Special (Live) and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special.
Lamar's performance, produced by Roc Nation and Jesse Collins Entertainment, featured a medley of hits from his latest album "GNX," including "squabble up," "peekaboo," and "tv off," alongside a surprise appearance by SZA. The show also revisited some of Lamar's most iconic tracks like "Alright" and "Swimming Pools," with special guest appearances by Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, and Mustard.
Beyoncé, who performed during the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans NFL Christmas Day matchup, is also in the running for an Emmy in the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) category. Her performance, which showcased new hits from her "Cowboy Carter" album, included the chart-topping single "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" and featured the Texas Southern University Ocean of Soul marching band and Motion of the Ocean dance team.
Both artists are currently on global tours, with Lamar and SZA wrapping up their North American dates of the "Grand National Tour" in June, and Beyoncé continuing her "Cowboy Carter" tour. Their Emmy nominations highlight not only their individual talents but also their ability to transform the NFL halftime show into a cultural phenomenon.
