Sinner vs Zverev: Australian Open Final Preview
Jannik Sinner will take on Alexander Zverev in the Australian Open final after Novak Djokovic's retirement.

It was an eventful day of tennis at the Australian Open as 10-time champion Novak Djokovic was forced to retire from his semifinal bout with Alexander Zverev due to injury. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner was too strong for Ben Shelton, winning in straight sets to reach his first Grand Slam final.
Djokovic was leading 6-1, 7-6(4) when he called for the trainer at the start of the third set. He received treatment on his left hamstring but was unable to continue, retiring from the match after 2 hours and 12 minutes.
Sinner will now face Zverev in the final on Sunday. The German won their only previous meeting in straight sets at the ATP Finals in 2022.
