Before stars like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers became household names, they first showcased their skills on the U16 Team USA roster. This tradition of nurturing future stars continues with the latest squad set to compete at the FIBA U16 AmeriCup in Irapuato, Mexico, from June 16-22, 2025.
The Selection Process
Over Memorial Day Weekend in Colorado Springs, 52 of the nation's top young players from the 2026 to 2028 high school classes vied for a spot on the national team. After four days of intense drills and high-level competition, 12 players earned the opportunity to represent Team USA under head coach Steve Gomez.

Class of 2026
- Olivia Jones (No. 16): A versatile guard from Long Island Lutheran, NY, Jones is known for her defensive prowess and maturity on the court.
Class of 2027
- Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka (No. 2): Standing at 6-2, Wilson-Manyacka is the team's best player, excelling in both offense and defense.
- Caroline Bradley (No. 3): A dominant post player from Oak Grove HS, LA, Bradley is fundamental in defense and has a growing mid-range game.

- Nation Williams (No. 11): A relentless rebounder from Centennial HS, NV, Williams uses her strength to dominate on both ends.
- Jazman Bailey (No. 37): A reliable point guard from Lakeridge HS, TX, Bailey is adept at breaking down defenders and making accurate passes.

- Tatianna Griffin (No. 1): A powerful guard from Ontario Christian, CA, Griffin thrives in attacking the basket and is a focused competitor.
- Jordyn Haywood (No. 5): A long slasher from Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day, Haywood excels in transition and on the glass.
