Buccaneers' Annual 'Cut and Color Funds the Cure' Event Raises Over $760,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted their 11th annual 'Cut and Color Funds the Cure' event, raising significant funds for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued their tradition of giving back to the community by hosting the 11th annual 'Cut and Color Funds the Cure' event on Tuesday. This year, the event raised over $760,000 for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, with the team nearing $80,000 in donations for 2025 alone.
Baker Mayfield, the Buccaneers' quarterback, was one of the highlights of the event. He had his hair spray-painted in the team's iconic red and creamsicle colors by pediatric cancer survivors. Mayfield, stepping out of his chair, humorously asked Bucs chief operating officer Brian Ford, 'How do I look? Fantastic?' Ford, who raised $66,183 single-handedly, responded with a resounding 'Awesome!'
Other notable participants included Tristan Wirfs, the All-Pro left tackle, and Graham Barton, the 2024 first-round draft pick. Wirfs added a new element to his look this year with hair extensions, donning a single red extension and a creamsicle extension. Barton opted for short creamsicle bangs with a longer creamsicle ponytail. Wirfs executed a perfect hair flip and asked his young stylists, 'Does it look good?' to which they giggled in approval.
Jason Licht, the Buccaneers' general manager, and Antoine Winfield Jr., the All-Pro safety, also joined in, sporting the red and creamsicle split look. Luke Goedeke, the right tackle, had a fun interaction with his young stylist, Hannah, who assured him she would make him look 'pretty' as she sprayed his hair in the team's colors.
The event not only raised significant funds but also brought smiles and hope to pediatric cancer patients and their families. The Buccaneers' commitment to this cause over the past 11 years has made a substantial impact, and the 2025 event was no exception.
