On a memorable Saturday, Kiyan Anthony, the son of Basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony, celebrated his graduation from Long Island Lutheran High School. Surrounded by friends and family, including his parents Carmelo and LaLa Anthony, Kiyan marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another as he prepares to join Syracuse University in the fall.
Kiyan, ranked 36th in the 2025 ESPN 100, announced his commitment to Syracuse in November 2024 during his father's show, "7PM in Brooklyn." Reflecting on his decision, Kiyan shared, "From day one, when they started recruiting me, they made me feel like it was family. My dad's name on the facility is special, but I want to go in there and create my own name."
Throughout the 2024-25 season, Kiyan averaged 15.2 points in the Nike EYBL Scholastic league, showcasing his dedication and skill. His journey is not just about following in his father's footsteps but also about building his own legacy in NCAA basketball.
