The Basketball Africa League playoffs have brought about some exciting developments.
On Sunday evening, ASC Ville de Dakar (ASCVD) of the Sahara Conference was eliminated from the league with a 77-68 loss to Tunisia's US Monastir. This defeat sealed Monastir's spot in the playoffs along with Angola's Petro de Luanda and Cape Verde's Kriol Star.
Petro had earlier secured their playoff place despite an overtime defeat to Kriol Star. The third quarter was a close contest, but Monastir's better rotation led by Eldridge's 22 points proved decisive.
ASCVD, despite having star players, struggled throughout the tournament. The outcome determined the standings, with Monastir topping the Sahara Conference.
