Denzel Washington Inspires Colorado Buffaloes with Motivational Speech Ahead of NCAAF Season
Legendary actor Denzel Washington delivers an inspiring speech to the Colorado Buffaloes football team, sharing wisdom and motivation for the upcoming NCAAF season.

The Colorado Buffaloes football team received a powerful dose of inspiration this week from none other than Hollywood legend Denzel Washington. The acclaimed actor and director, known for his iconic role as a high school football coach in the 2000 film Remember the Titans, visited the team during their spring practices to share some words of wisdom.
Washington began his speech with a metaphor that resonated deeply with the players: "When you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too. But eventually, good things grow out of that mud." This message of perseverance and resilience set the tone for his motivational talk.
In a bold and humorous moment, Washington challenged the team to invite him to the national championship game when they make it there. "I'm gonna say this now, if y'all don't send me a ticket to the national championship when you get there, then don't ever go to none of my movies ever again," he quipped. "I don't want to know you. Because I know you [are] going to be there."
He further emphasized that even if the players don’t reach the College Football Playoff national championship, they’ll still be "going to the national championship in life anyway," highlighting the importance of personal growth and success beyond the field.
The Colorado Buffaloes, who finished last season with a 9-4 record, including a 7-2 mark in Big 12 regular season play, are gearing up for what they hope will be a championship-caliber season. With Washington’s words of encouragement, the team is undoubtedly motivated to push their limits and aim for greatness in the upcoming NCAAF season.
